ROCKET HOUSE

Rocket Houses were a vital, but largely unknown, part of our maritime heritage. They once housed rockets and breeches buoys which were used to rescue shipwrecked mariners from vessels that had run aground close to shore. Rockets were second only to lifeboats in saving lives from shipwrecks.

The Rocket House logo was designed based on the old Rocket House building in Doolin, with an additional element of the harpoon symbolising the sphere shape used in the rocket apparatus.

Rocket House is situated on Doolin Pier, on the west coast of Ireland, and has been beautifully restored for you to enjoy a coffee and treat or grab your breakfast and go.
